Understanding our Product Specifications
Lumens-The brightness of the light source is measured in Lumen (lm) This is the total measure of light emanating from your light source. The Ultimate Collection boasts a brightness that you wouldn't believe! We offer bulbs that can illuminate your space with an extremely bright 14400 lm. Wattage- This lets you how much energy is used up to produce a fixed amount of lumens. Power Factor- is defined as the ratio of real power consumed by a load (expressed in Watts) to apparent power (expressed in VA), which produces a figure from zero to unity that indicates the degree of distortion and phase shift in the current waveform. A power factor close to 1 represents an ideal power. Beam-Angle- The beam angle of a light measures the spread of light from the light source. Our industrial lights have wide angled beams of around 90 degrees for a uniform wide space illumination CRI- A Colour Rendering Index can measure how accurately a light source can illuminate an object's true colors. Our LED products have a CRI greater than 80- a CRI that can approximate halogen or natural daylight. IP- The Ingress Protection rating is an international method used to describe the protection of a fitting to stop the penetration of solid objects or water entering the light fitting. Our product range come with an IP rating of 44- the recommended rating of a light installation to make sure water doesn’t enter the electrical. Colour Temperature- The temperature refers to the colour characteristic of the light which can affect the atmosphere of a room. It ranges from a cool (bluish) light to a warm (yellow) tone. This attribute is measured in Kelvins. A lower Kelvin rate will have a warmer light. Choose from a 4000-6000K temperature range to suit the atmosphere of your space. Insulation Rating (IC): The Insulation contact rating determines whether the light can be in contact with the insulation of your space. Modern lights that are rated IC have insulation that keep in the generated heat.
IC rating- Fixtures with this rating have insulation adjoining or covering it. Most LED’s, and some florescent lights have this rating.
ICF rating (Insulation Contact Fire Resistant)- Fixtures with this rating have insulation adjoining or covering it. These LED lights are sealed, fire-resistant and also water proof. These are best for use in damp areas.
